Greetings To All:

Welcome to the premier issue of Write Between The Eyes. You will be receiving this curious collection of brain lozenges every three months or so, unless you let me know that you’d rather not.

For those of you who may not be familiar with my services, I’m a pretty dang good independent copywriter. but that doesn’t really tell the stroy. Give me a call and I’ll be happy to send along a resume and samples, or bring the book by.

For those of you who do know me, you also know I’ve been entrenched at DDB Needham for quite some time now. Thus the classic freelancer’s marketing dilemma: “Hello, yes I’m still freelancing, keep me in mind, but on the other hand, I’m not entirely availiable at the moment.”

However, since there are 24 hours in a day, and DDB usually gets only 8 of them, I’m eager to hear about your project.

Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this extremely soft-sell marketing device.

Stoically,

P.S. Made you look. You see, I have learned something direct mail.In one day, the average American is exposed to 1600 commercial messages, of which 80 are noticed and only 16 elicit a response (usually negative).
