An alliance like no other with an agency like no other.
It’s my pleasure to have been associated with Maddock Douglasthe agency for companies driven by innovationfor almost three years now. Currently, I’m working closely, and freelancely, with MD, in my role as Purveyor of The Good.
This unique arrangement allows me the time and flexibility to serve my other clients as well, under the banner of The Communicaterer.
Prior to forging our current relationship, I had the honor and pleasure of leading MD’s creative department for a year and a half, helping evolve both the direction of the agency, and the work we created on behalf of our clients. Among the new clients we won, or won projects from during that time, were Old Style Beer, Shure Audio, Wise Snacks and Crain’s Chicago Business.
I continue to wax about MD because, having experienced scores of agencies in one capacity or another over 20 plus years, I’ve never come across an agency like ita place that doesn’t just allow experimentation and risk and fun, but voraciously embraces itstarting with Mike Maddock himself. Passionate, sometimes heated, but always respectful dialogue abounds. Diverse and divergent points of view are actively sought out, always to the ultimate benefit of MD’s people and their clients.
This is an agency that has been known to refuse assignments (and even resigned one of its largest accounts) based on principle rather than expedience.
This is an agency whose COO once made good on a delivery deadline that was in jeopardy by hopping on a plane to Cincinnati at the last minute in order to personally deliver the package into the hands of a stunned client.
This is an agency that created and sold to the client a blind teaser DM piece so provocative that it elicited a phone call from the head of security for one of the targeted companies. Attendance at the webinar this piece promoted far surpassed that of any of their previous webinars.
This is an agency uniquely imbued with optimism.
Here is a sampler of some Maddock Douglas work that I, in collaboration with many others, helped create:
